Did you know that Astronauts aboard the International Space Station can compost organic waste? And did you know that you can compost in SP too? In the common kitchens on (almost) every floor, there is a dedicated composting bin. You can put in fruits, vegetables, grains, meat, etc. "Compostable utensils", however, are not. SP Environment Tip of the Week 9/17

Did you know that many electronic devices, such as computers and televisions, consume electricity even if they are switched off? Unplug them to kill the phantom load, or use a power strip. Similarly, unplug battery chargers (for cell phones, electric toothbrushes, etc.) when not in use.
