                Sidney-Pacific Graduate Community received a national program award for exemplary graduate and professional student programs, at the National Conference of the National Association of Graduate and Professional Students, held on November 5-9, 2003 at Washington, D.C.<br>Some excerpts from the citation read at the Awards ceremony:<br><i>Sidney-Pacific is a one-of-a-kind residence-based student government in the whole country which combines resident advocacy, informal faculty-student interactions and social and community events. Established only in 2002, it is a significant accomplishment that this government has reached a level of maturity in dynamic that even established graduate student associations aspire for. With 700 members in this community run by over 50 officers, the Sidney-Pacific Graduate Community serves as a model for many Universities to establish their graduate student associations along their efforts.</i>
